Becca's Back In Town

July 17, 2008
Becca was in town from So. Cal. so we had to get the volleyball gang together and relive some college days moments. Needless to say, it was filled with laughing to the point of tears and discovering some "enlightening" moments about Sharon! Ha! Such a good time to share and helps me realize the truly important aspects of life....good friends and family.

BSU Basketball Camp

July 2008
Isabelle attended her first BSU camp and had a great time! The three day camp kept the girls "hooping it up" from 9AM til 8 PM. The final day they had a 5 on 5 game time and Issy's team won her age group! She also was selected by her coaches as "Camper of the Day"(there were over 100 girls at the camp, ages 10-18) for her play, hard work ethic and attitude. WNBA here we come.......:)

Cleo's Surgery

July 10, 2008
Cleo got war wounds from the kitties which resulted in an ulcerated cornea. Ouch! We visited Dr. Sessions at Broadway Vet and surgery was in order (thank you Carter for helping out, as we know pet insurance is not an option, may be in the future though.....). Since bunnies can't really wear an eye patch, they "buttoned" his eye closed by suturing the upper lid to his third eye lid. He visits the vet on the 18th for his removal of the button and hopefully it is healing well and can get the blue collar off also!

Our Happy Family

We have two kitties, Tigre and Gingy, that are now 1 year old. They are litter mates and provide us hours and hours of laughter! Isabelle also has Cleo the rabbit who is a tender soul. So far I have been able to convince Isabelle that our family is "full" and no other pets are needed....but she keeps trying....

The Legend Passed On...

March 2008
My sweet Moki passed away in March. She was 14 years old and possessed the most loyal heart of any animal or human I have known. She was my companion since my first head coaching job in Pocatello and brought me countless laughs, a few frustrations but was always there for me to nurse my tears. She will be greatly missed....

San Antonio Visit

February 2008
San Antonio, TX~ Our visit over President's Day weekend was filled with a walk on the Riverwalk, touring the Alamo and listening and dancing to a mariachi band. We also met "famous folks" at Ripley's Believe It or Not....okay maybe they were just wax figures...but they sure looked real! Highlight of the trip was going to Marble Falls and meeting the rest of Carter's immediate family at his niece Tiffany's basketball game. We had a terrific time in Texas.

Spring Break 2008

March 2008
South Padre Island, TX~ We visited Carter for spring break and journeyed down to the south Texas shoreline. The weather was warm and the beach refreshing! Isabelle and I visited the Sea Turtle Rescue Center and an aquarium where she got to handle a starfish. We also ventured into the Gulf of Mexico to see the pods of dolphins swim about our boat. Issy and Carter bounced around in the waves.

Tuesday

Houston Visit

June 2008
Houston Space Center, Downtown Aquarium and The Houston Astros were some of the wonderful places we visited in Houston in June. We spent time with Carter's sister Christin and her family and friends. It was a wonderful visit filled with quality time with Carter and his family and friends.

Sandy's "Almost 40" Moment

July 2008
"Oh my gosh, we have already have a blog!?" were the words out of my mouth when I discovered (with Dana's pro-blogging help) that last year I already set up a blog! Help....I am already losing my mind (like some of you didn't already know that).
